Privacy Policy
What Vantage Proof collects, why, and what happens to your job photos.
This is a template, not legal advice
Vantage Proof provides this wording as a convenience. It has not been reviewed for your state, trade, or contract terms. Business owners should have an attorney review it before relying on it.
1.What we collect
Account information — your email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, and the business details you choose to add such as business name, trade, logo, profile photo, contact method, and review, invoice, or social links. Job content — the photos you upload, project names, client names you enter, locations, dates, work notes, and generated summaries. Technical data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2.Photo metadata is stripped
Uploaded photos are processed in your browser before they reach our storage. That processing removes embedded EXIF metadata — including GPS coordinates, device details, and capture timestamps — so location data is not carried into the images we store or publish. Anything visible inside the photo itself, such as a house number, is not removed.
3.How we use it
We use your information to run your account, store and display your projects, generate AI summaries and captions at your request, render the proof links and portfolio pages you create, process payments, provide support, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your photos to advertise to third parties.
4.Public by design: proof links and portfolios
Proof links and public portfolio pages are intentionally shareable. Anyone with a proof link can view that project’s photos, summary, and your business identity without signing in, and a published portfolio page is open to the public and may be indexed by search engines. Client names and contact details are not published on portfolio pages. You control what becomes public: portfolio inclusion requires consent for that project, each project has a visibility toggle, and a proof link can be revoked by regenerating its token. Copies already saved or shared by recipients cannot be recalled.
5.Third parties we rely on
We use Supabase for hosting, authentication, database, and photo storage; Anthropic to generate AI summaries, captions, and work notes from the project details you submit; and Stripe to process subscription payments once billing is live. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We share information with them only as needed to deliver the service, and otherwise only where required by law.
6.Data retention
We keep your account and project content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a project or a photo, it is removed from our active systems, and residual copies in backups age out on our normal backup cycle. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your content after a short retention window, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
7.Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that scope project data to the account that owns it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and limit who you give account access to.
8.Your choices and privacy requests
You can view, correct, or delete most of your information directly in the app. To request a copy of your data, ask for deletion, or raise a privacy concern, contact us at the support address listed in your account. If you are a client whose photos appear in a contractor’s portfolio, contact that contractor first — they control what is published.
9.Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be announced in the app or by email, and the revised policy applies from its effective date.
